Purpose of Establishment of LSP Language Competency Inspiration

The Professional Certification Institute (LSP) Language Competency Inspiration was established with the intention of becoming an institution that plays an active role in ensuring quality and recognition of the competence of professional workers in the field of translation and interpretation in Indonesia.

Through a certification mechanism based on the Indonesian National Work Competency Standards (SKKNI), this LSP aims to:

• Guarantee credibility and professional standards for translators and interpreters through an objective, transparent, and accountable competency testing process.
• Encourage the improvement of the competitiveness of Indonesian human resources in the field of language to be able to participate at the national and international level.
• Facilitate the formation of a professional, ethical, and high-integrity language professional ecosystem.
• Become a strategic partner for industry, education, and government in ensuring the suitability of language workforce competence with market needs and global technological developments.
• Support the national BNSP program in expanding access to competency certification, and strengthening Indonesia's position on the global stage through improving the quality of language services.

Objectives of Establishment of LSP Language Competency Association

• Organize Competency Certification Tests in accordance with the applicable provisions in BNSP guidelines.
• Develop competency standards for Simultaneous/Consecutive Oral Interpreters according to SKKNI-based areas of expertise.
• Provide public services in order to expand access to get the expected opportunities and job opportunities.
